The Matzo files is intended to be diverse and inclusive in scope. A total of 250 artists were included on a first-come, first-served basis. Artists are included in the Matzo files for a period of one year.
Information on currently participating artists is available on site. Every artist has four binder pages of supporting biographical materials as well as images of artwork from both in and outside of the Matzo files. The thousands of works housed within the Matzo files are just a small sampling of the full range of mediums and disciplines these artists use to create – some specialize in installation or sound-based works, others make computer-based work and employ interdisciplinary techniques in their art.
