LMCC's Winter/Spring 2002 Professional Development Series

Part of LMCC's services to individual artists, small arts groups, and community based-organizations, the Professional Development Series workshops provide participants with professional tools and a framework for exchange of information, resources, and opportunities.

This workshop provides an opportunity to discuss the growing need for accessible and affordable space for artists and arts organizations. Speakers will discuss their experiences dealing with the availability of temporary and permanent space, the logistics of securing and maintaining it, the creation of partnerships, relationships with developers, real estate initiatives, and how these dynamics affect emerging organizations.

The series is presented in partnership with HERE Art
Center and held at 145 Sixth Avenue between Spring and
Broome Streets.

By subway: C or E to Spring Street, walk a half block
south on 6th Avenue; or 1 or 9 to Houston or Canal
Street; N or R to Prince Street. HERE is across 6th
Avenue from the Mobil gas station.
