Bio:
Melanie Vote received her Bachelor of Fine Art from Iowa State University in 1995 and her Master of Fine Art from the Graduate School of Figurative Art of the New York Academy of Art in 1998. Since graduating she has been living in the New York City area pursuing her career in the arts.

Artist Statement:
The work is simply a reflection of my life experiences. I aspire to create narratives that are both emotionally stirring and are open to interpretation.
